Essex dirty chat
I was just asked a few extra things or to clarify a few bits already filled in. They want to get my close relatives involved as they are part of my support network. My family know about my addiction and have helped me out of debt in the past but I don't feel strong enough or ready to tell them I've fallen back into it again.
I know i'm probably not helping myself but i'm struggling enough as it is and use gambling as a way of escaping my life (feelings, thoughts, worries etc) I don't feel ready to let it go yet.
CAF is the paper it's the professionals that'll make the difference so if you end up getting someone you don't like etc then ask to have someone different.
Often People get frustrated and annoyed about CAFs but it's the people. I know I have problems and am trying to get them sorted but this feels as though it's being taken out of my control and that I have to do things in the time frame they've given me or they'll get SS back involved.
A CAF is short for Common Assessment Framework and generally they are put into place once invovlement with Children's Services has finished to ensure that the family are still receiving the support from professionals that ensure the families needs are being met and that things are getting back on track.
Should you be asked to attend a TAC meeting (team around the child) they will all get together with you so you can tell them ONCE what you need, and they can do the same for you.
I've been attending meetings at my lo's school for about a year now.
